Those of us who have lived in the Western states have long been frustrated by the skewing of national elections that comes from the news media reporting/calling Eastern and Midwestern (and Mountain) states for President, when the polls are still open in the west.
The result of having elections with National office components called while the polls are still open in the west, is the suppression of potential votes. This affects more than just the Presidential elections, as there are always local and state issues on the ballots as well.
So, I have a suggestion for any Western Congressman and Senator who really wants to serve his constituents: Introduce legislation to PROHIBIT any reporting of exit polls or election results from any state until the polls are closed in ALL jurisdictions.
This will annoy the media, and the residents of Dixville Notch, but will also allow the residents of western states to cast their ballots with the same sense of urgency that other citizens feel.
From Gateway Pundit:
Obama appeals to devotees in Virginia:
I feel like we got a righteous wind at our backs here, but we’re going to have to work. We’re going to have to struggle. We’re going to have to fight.
And here is an exerpt from the writings of Chairman Mao:
The ill wind of opportunism is falling, the righteous wind of socialism is on the rise.
By the end of this year the victory of socialism will be greatly assured. Naturally there will be many struggles ahead and we must struggle hard.
